About me
I have been interested in Photography since I picked up my first camera in High School in Southern California in 1975 taking a few classes after high school at community college.
After starting my family I moved back to the Tennessee Valley. I filed my love for photography away while I raised my children but once they were born it really rekindled the love I had for it. I saw the need for photographs as they changed each month and grew. My kids would say that they were born with a camera in their face. When my daughter got into high school she took full advantage of the fact that her Mom is a photographer. Walking in and saying I need new fall pictures please was a common occurrence in our house. My daughter graduated from West Limestone in 2005 and after she wasnt pleased with her environmental shots that were taken by the photographer hired by the school. When she found out that only the formal photos had to be taken by him she urged me to take her senior photos. Well I was hooked, we travel around Limestone County and in Giles County, Tennessee and took them and had the best time.
As I became more and more interested in photography I started taking more classes online and traveling to workshops in Birmingham and Memphis and locally mentored and assisted for a short time with Huntsville Photographer Arlon Moss.
My two children are my biggest inspiration and through their urging and the support of my entire family and friends I have been able to realize my dream of venturing into the photography business part time.
